Accommodation

6 berths in 2 cabins.  Forward cabin with a double "V"  berth, opening deck hatch.

Midships heads compartment with a BlakeLavac sea toilet, wash hand basin with cold water supply, wet locker.

Saloon with a "U" shaped sette to port, converts to double berth. Starboard side single settee berth, saloon table.

Starboard side chart table with storage, there is a large quarter berth aft of this.

Port side "L" shaped galley with a Taylor’s 030LKerosene Stove with oven and limited grill. Top opening cool box, stainless steel sink with cold water supply.

Construction & Build

GRP hull, decks and superstructure. Tiller steering. Moulded encapsulated fin keel & skeg-hung rudder. Self draining cockpit. Hull epoxied in 1995 and professional respray of topsides 2012

Masthead Bermudan sloop; Silver anodized aluminum mast; Rotostay twin groove headsail furling system; Spinnaker and jockey poles; Slab reefing mainsail; Blue Mainsail cover with lazyjack system. Sails: all very little used. Yanmar GM2F Diesel; 2 blade propeller. 2 x batteries replaced 2010 / 2011 (engine start and leisure battery) Boat rewired in 2000 inc new 12 volt switch panel. Rutland 913 wind generator and Rutland HRDX charge controller. Battery charger indicator.

Bruce Roberts Spray 38, 1990

Designed by Bruce Roberts, hull professionally built in Worcester, England by Roger Apperley of Watercraft, Diglis.  An iconic cruising and liveaboard vessel, fitted out to a very high standard by the present owner.  

A long keeled, multi chine Bermudan rigged auxiliary Ketch.  Under the working rig of genoa, mizzen sail and mainsail she would carry about 900 sq ft of canvas.  6 cylinder Perkins diesel auxiliary engine and PRM hydraulically operated gearbox and will deliver up to 120hp.  

Wonderfully seaworthy with spacious accommodation.
